Everything About Garage Door Openers

I find that the Genie Garage Door Opener is one of the best garages you can get.  I recently bought a new house that was in disrepair and “Genie” was the first brand that stuck in my head.

Why do you think that is??  There are two main reasons:  dependability and parts.

First Genie was bought out by Overland in the 90s.  They are still called Genie but its under the Overland brand umbrella.  And there is an Overland business in every city.  Look in the phone book.  Depending on what city you live in, be it large or small, there will probably be at least 2-3.  That means that you will never live far from an establishment that sells, installs, or fixes genie products.  That is a good thing.  Keep in mind you can always go online and buy whatever genie parts you may need.  I recently went to a garage door opener parts website and found some parts I was looking for but its still nevertheless good to have the option of calling someone up or going to a store should you need something.

Second, for me personally, and several people who I know, genie garage doors have lasted the longest.  And I have owned several of them.  Garages take a lot of abuse and you want the door that is going to last the longest. I have backed into my garage door.  Kids have hung onto it.  It gets opened several times a day.  And my genie door has lasted 5 years now and given me no problem whatsoever. I read on a website that the best way to maintain your garage door is to oil your garage parts and that is what I have done.  It has never given me any problems.
